Reliance Jio has announced that the company deploy Massive MIMO Pre-5G technology, to provide high-speed data experience to its customers in Delhi and Mumbai stadium during IPL matches.

Reliance Jio’s 5G experience will be available for fans in Delhi and Mumbai. Reliance Jio says that it will provide over five times the capacity in a 30 MHz wide band spectrum. The stadiums in Delhi and Mumbai will be equipped with wireless broadband solutions ranging from Massive MIMO, 4G eNodeBs, Wi-Fi hotspots and small cells for Jio users.

Reliance Jio has announced a new ‘Jio Cricket Play Along’ game for its users. As per Jio, the live mobile game will allow participants to plan and win prizes worth crores. Alongside, Jio will also be running ‘Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan LIVE’– a show with a mix of Cricket and Comedy.

Airtel will also be deploying Massive MIMO technology across IPL match venues in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mohali, Indore, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Chennai. The first venue to go live with Airtel’s Massive MIMO deployment will be the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai where the first match of the IPL will be played on April 7, 2018.

Airtel was the first mobile operator in India to commercially deploy Massive MIMO. Reliance Jio, Vodafone and Idea Cellular have already been piloting the technology in various circles.
