Xiaomi launched the new 10000mAh and 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i as ‘Made in India’ power banks back in November last year for Rs. 799 and the 20000mAh Mi Powerbank 2i is priced at Rs. 1499. Both the power banks were launched on e-commerce websites Flipkart and Amazon last month.
However, the company increased the price of the power banks by Rs. 100 in April this year without giving a proper reason for the hike. After the increase in price, the customers can purchase the 10000 mAh power bank for Rs 899 and 20000mAh power bank for Rs 1,599 respectively.
After the GST rate cut from 28% to 18% on Lithium-ion batteries used in power banks that came into effect from today, July 27th, Xiaomi has reduced the price of the power banks, that are now back to original launch price.
The 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i sports metal body and offers features such as two-way fast charge, dual USB output and low power charging support. Xiaomi also stated that this model features Lithium polymer batteries inside and also has nine layers of circuit chip protection. This model is available only in a single Black colour and measures just 14.2mm in thickness.
Coming to the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i, it has high-density lithium polymer batteries of high-capacity. Xiaomi has added features such as two-way quick charging, dual USB output and it even has support for Quick Charge 3.0 on a single port. The Power Bank also ships with a low power charging support. The 20000mAh model is available only in a single white colour option.
